Born on 1973 for the initiative of prof. Piero Bertolini, Infanzia (Childhood) is a bimonthly review (80 pages) concerning researches, studies and experiences about early education and children’s culture. Infanzia is organised on three sections:
Arguments: where are published articles of scientific reflection, critique and pedagogy about childhood educational problems, organisation and management of childcare services, policy for childhood.
Experiences: this section collects analysis of educational and didactical experiences realised in kindergarten and nursery school; description of experimental and innovative educational projects.
Observatory: includes contributions on different topics of children’s and education’s culture (literature, iconography, media, initiatives, books review etc.)
The Scientific Direction and Editorial Staff of Infanzia have seat in the Sciences of Education Department, University of Bologna.
In the rating of scientific journals, by the Observatory of the research in the University of Bologna, in a range from A to D, Infanzia is in the class “B”.
Infanzia is a review both for scholars involved on the study and research on early education and for vocational training of educators, teachers, pedagogists.
